Therapists

If you're anything like me, you've probably found yourself in a session, an appointment, or a patient encounter, providing incredible feedback and sharing valuable coping skills with others, and at some point, you couldn't help but think, "Damnnn this would be a great thing for me to try as well." However, as the day goes on, that initial enthusiasm might fade into a familiar refrain of, "Ehhhh, I will try that some other day."

Why is it so much easier to help nurture other people and SO much harder to do the same things for ourselves? It's a puzzle that many of us grapple with. If you are reading this, I am guessing you have come to the same realization and understand that you cannot be all the things to all the people without taking care of yourself.

It is such a special dynamic to be able to work with other "helpers." Over the years, I have noticed that my therapeutic style works well with therapists and other helping professionals. I'm not your "smile and nod" therapist. I will challenge you and be direct in a constructive and appropriate way – I am not an asshole about it.

In essence, the journey of helping others often begins with helping ourselves, and I'm here to guide and support you in that process. So, let's explore together how you can not only provide outstanding support to others but also extend the same level of care and compassion to yourself.
